Getting worse and poor x-platform implementation

Layers now via an icon on screen. Wonderful except it covers up part of the screen, which is why the side bar was useful - which is still there! Theres just less in it now.
Timeline - finally - but apparently I havent been anywhere for 2 weeks since 4/14.
What used to be a 2 click process to view the overall route and choose alternate routes while navigating is now a 4 click process. Seriously? While driving, make it more difficult?
The Android UI and iOS UI are now no longer in sync. I use both.
If it aint broke - dont fix it.
Aside from the traffic info which is still great, this is getting worse. Still better than Apple Maps though.
