It was love but its over now.
Google Maps used to great. Good, concise directions that generally made sense except for the practice of use state or county road designations instead of the locally familiar and prominently signed road names. I have just deleted the app from my iPhone because I tried to get driving directions to Yosemite National Park. Instead of the visitor center or a well known drivable point, it directed me to the middle of the park. While Im sure that location is lovely and an enjoyable hike, it hardly helps me to determine how to drive to the park from out of the state.
This was just the last straw in a number of increasingly obnoxious and unnecessary failures of navigation. Like other users on here, I was growing increasingly frustrated with the nonsensical and incorrect directions given by the app.
Goodbye Google Maps. Maybe we can be friends again someday, but right now I need space. Also. Its not me, its you.
