Best to nonfunctional

This is my favorite maps app and probably the most used app on my phone as I depend on it for work. However, after the last update, it has become nonfunctional. The app no longer picks up my current location and every time I input my destination and choose my location as the starting point, it automatically chooses the starting point of my previous trip, regardless of whether I choose current location or input another location. Then once I hit start, it just gets stuck in REROUTING... and nothing happens. Please fix! Thank you.

5/17/17 Update: Google says its fixed. Havent needed it yet but seems to be working. Will update rating accordingly after use.
