Will leave you stranded

I have tried very hard to like Google Maps over the last few years. I does have some things going for it. Notably it has among the best and most accurate routing of any navigation app. Admittedly it has had its share of problems, including a confusing interface (which has gotten better) and the problem all Google products have which is that they are in eternal beta mode. But for me the deal breaker with Google Maps is that it will leave you stranded. Twice in just the last couple of months there have been very nast bugs in navigation serious enough that navigation has been unusable. This can be a nasty surprise when you hop in the car headed somewhere in a hurry only to find that your map app doesnt work. The bugs seem to be fixed once again--for now--but who knows for how long? A navigation app you cant rely on is worthless.
