Google Maps App Reviews

Google maps becomes dangerous when it provides routes with left turns at busy streets with multiple lanes that go in both directions, and no traffic light. For example, my wife has to first drive across the lane of all the cars moving right until she makes it to the lane of all the cars moving left. My wife has almost gotten into an accident on several occasions. Its kind of a downtown area. Please add an option that attempts to avoid left turns that have no traffic lights.

Loved it only problem for me is that when there is a lake beside me it wouldnt tell me what lake it is

This used to be great app, now its closer and closer to useless with every update.

Whenever I use the carpool lane while navigating with Google Maps, the app freaks out and has no idea where I am in the world. It keeps "rerouting" because it cant recognize carpool routes. I think there should be an option to choose a carpool route.

There is no other app that can be compare to it. Im living in Iran and offline map wont work for cities inside Iran. Why?

I dont use anything else for navigation.

For some reason it takes Google over a year to discover when a new store location has opened. Roads where there are none or never have been and changing routes when you never asked it to. Craptastic application.

Been using this map service nearly since its release. Continual improvements have made it locally centric as well as a great road trip planner. Great Job Google!

Very nice application

Better than the maps that come with the iPhone, but still needs a lot of improvement. Sometimes theres sound, sometimes not. Sometimes it interfaces with the car via Bluetooth, sometimes not. Once tried to send me down a road that wasnt there. Yikes!

With the past couple of updates the GPS is now taking me all the wrong routes instead of the straightforward route I always take. Upcoming turns also have smaller notification time now. I cant afford this in Boston and cant trust the app anymore. Im looking elsewhere.

I suggest Google Maps for everyone. Gives you the accurate directions for any place nationwide

Made planning and visiting NY sites much, much easier. Ability to choose different routes helps minimize waking. Great app.
