Google Maps App Reviews

No longer allows me to navigate from "current location" or "my location". Does me no good if Im lost and need help getting out of my current predicament. And thats when the maps will load at all. 9 times of of 10 I see a map of the United States and the circle just keeps spinning and spinning. Its not my wireless signal, and its not my wifi. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled and I get the same issues. Trying once more and if it doesnt work? No more of this. At least apple maps loads....

Traffic and transit info is missing from the menu tab. Hopefully it comes back

Sometimes the directions say turn left at an intersection, but the audio says turn right. Also map automatically rotates relative to your location....cant keep it in "north" orientation. Its also not consistent in the details (street names, points of interest, etc. ) that it pulls up. They really need to get their act together.

This app has been one of the best apps up until a couple months ago. Every time I open the app it freezes. It keeps my Bluetooth connection for my car from working. I have had so many issues I have decided to use Apple maps till these issues are resolved.

Just had a VERY frustrating time because I could not put in the destination. I am a first time user. It was Not obvious where to press for my destination. I would like help. Google Maps is supposed to be good.thank you for any help. Judy Perkins( judyper@ gmail.com)

This app is good but could be better they need better info when it comes to information about stores and restaurants and stuff

It maybe good for some but I dont think Ill ever use it again! It doubted me 10 minutes out of my way. The routing was totally wrong! What took me 10 minutes, should have taken me only 1 minute at the mist.

Ever since the new update the street view feature stopped working

I drive at night for Uber and the new animation drives me crazy when I get to my destination. I resort to using multiple maps just because of this issue. I dont like how Google Maps zooms out and stop navigating before I get to my destination. I just want it to show the arrow where my destination is like it did before. Google Maps should also let me know if the destination is on the left or right when I arrive. The name of the street that Im driving on in navigation mode should to be more legible. Besides that, Google Maps is amazing. My best feature is the grey alternate route with the ETA. That has saved me so many times!

Why can I no longer move up and down the street in Street View now? It cant be that hard to not roll out new versions without screwing up existing features.

This is the go-to for maps as far as Im concerned. But it will be infinitely better to add in truck routing. Google has no idea how much us truckers look to Google Maps for getting to certain places, especially around the cities. Please! Add Truck routing to Google Maps. We, the trucking community, will be forever grateful.

Who designs UI like this? Useless "explore food" bar and constantly switching elements. Spent like half an hour to find a button to switch from the satellite to map view. Turns out the button is placed like in the middle of nowhere (at least on ipad). Stop messing around and instead make changes that actually add value, like better directions. Even online version is better than this piece of work.

The journey is lost without google maps!

I used to use this all the time but now when I go down streets using the arrows it keeps turning me around?

I admit that I dont use this app much on my iPad unless Im looking for business info after business hours. So I might have not paid attention to this issue but on my iPhone I can access business information such as open and close date and times when planning my daily schedules. The info on my iPad is very minimal…business phone number (not much good after hours), website address, physical address, and a bunch of reviews from Yelp (not in the least bit helpful). Im pretty sure that this information was available at one time (Im suspecting before the Yelp association). So as an iPad app its mostly become useless to me. Ill be going back to Apple maps unless it this app (iPad version) becomes useful soon.

It was able to get me from lake of the ozarks, but it nearly drowned my car in a flooded river. Also it changed routes rapidly.
