Google Maps App Reviews

Significantly better than the GPS built into my car. No surprise there. I have a small gripe: the buttons at the bottom of the screen shift up and down as the app loads on boot up. I very often hit the wrong one because of this.

Google keeps selling out more and more as advertisements become more and more intrusive. Knock it off google youre turning into a real Yahoo!

It is a great app but it kills me that it notifies me that I have a quarter mile left when I get to 0.4 miles to my next turn. Also it would be nice to be able to notify of road closures through Google maps directly.

Google says I must use app to find directions. Then it says I cant download app because I already own it. It wont take me directly to the app I already own or allow me to just use the online version. So I have to pull my car over and copy and paste the directions. Its been this way on all my iPhones.

It has been complained time and again. When accessing maps via widget, the remember setting doesnt seem to work. I have to go in every time manually to set avoid tolls. This doesnt happen while opening the app and searching directly. Correct this issue asap.

My go to map! Always gets me where Im going!

Using 3D Touch to navigate to Home/Work requires enabling Web History. Thats unnecessary and silly.

I used google maps on android and I wanted to see it on iPhone and google delivered.

The app is easy to request updates and fixes.

I love it but I also want speed limit on it

Alfredos is by the far the best mechanic I have been to. I needed a complete new exhaust system which would have cost me close to $700 at any chain store mechanic. What happened to shortage time & shortest distance, avoid toll roads and avoid highways. Need this back. Using Waze until these options are put back!!!!!

I use this app for street view to help me preview where Im driving to get the lay of the land. At least, I used to because it no longer works. Street view keeps going black every time I try to use it. And those horrible blue lines just dont help to move the view. In short, the app no longer works for what I need it to do. Its been that way for a long time now through numerous updates. Maybe if Google cared a little more about putting out a quality product and a little less about spying on us through data collection (see the reviews of the spyware known as Waze), theyd resolve these issues. But Im not holding my breath.
