Constantly changes directions and never has given me a direct route I expect more from google

I love most of my apps but I really wanted to rate this one. I moved to another city and instead of getting directions I use this app to get everywhere. It is on point. I like that it doesnt wait till the last minute to tell you if youre turning left or right and it tells you that your destination is coming up. Best of all its FREE!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! Heres my other 5 stars *****.

Its really convenient and reliable majority of the time.

Would love to send audio through my iPhone speakers when plugged into the USB of my car. Waze can do this why cant goog maps

Please fix the bug where I will be driving on the road and Google maps suddenly tells me Im on a completely different road and reroutes before it figures out where I am

Is there a reason this app has to update every goddamn day? Deleting

When starting navigation it puts my starting position in the wrong place and then moves to my current location and gets stuck on relocating.

This is a great app. Literally would be lost without it. Had a suggestion from a friend. Make option of "travel with stops" to factor into ETA. Like 10 min or 15 min every 2 hrs or something.

Tried to update to the latest version. Says "unable to download" even though connection is fine. please fix

Dana called me before he came, was on time, didnt have to tell him to take his shoes off (like most other people), he had his own shoe covers. I am exhausted from traveling cross country between our house in Eastern Michigan to help my parents, mama has Alzheimers, back to our empty house on the East side, my husband is in Mississippi, where we got transferred...so I am alone...anyway.....when I got home from 12 days at my parents, my toilet was leaking. With everything else going on, I had a melt down. Worried about the subfloor, the ceiling downstairs, etc. Dana checked EVERYTHING, explained everything, had pleasant conversation and assured me it was just a failed seal. Im a pretty handy gal, but toilets are my limit! Especially because theres water involved. I was relieved with one less thing to worry about. Thank you, Dana!!!! This is much more complex so sorry for rambling.....my mind is everywhere right now!

Update: The LAST update on 5/10 put layers back where they were in the side menu (and where they are on Android). Wonderful! THIS update on 5/11 - the "bug fix" was to put them back on the screen along with a text box telling us theyre there.. Seriously??! At some point Id actually like to see, you know, the map underneath.. Original review: Layers now via an icon on screen. Wonderful except it covers up part of the screen, which is why the side bar was useful - which is still there! Theres just less in it now. Timeline - finally - but apparently I havent been anywhere for 2 weeks since 4/14. What used to be a 2 click process to view the overall route and choose alternate routes while navigating is now a 4 click process. Seriously? While driving, make it more difficult? The Android UI and iOS UI are now no longer in sync. I use both. If it aint broke - dont fix it. Aside from the traffic info which is still great, this is getting worse. Still better than Apple Maps though.

Updated review: I use this app for street view to help me preview where Im driving to get the lay of the land. At least, I used to because it no longer works. Street view keeps going black every time I try to use it. And those horrible blue lines just dont help to move the street view. In short, the app no longer works for what I need it to do. Its been that way for a long time now through numerous updates. And if its possible, the problems just got worse with todays update of May 11, 2017. If I could give zero stars, I would. Maybe if Google cared a little more about putting out a quality product and a little less about spying on us through data collection (see the reviews of the spyware known as Waze), theyd resolve these issues. But Im not holding my breath.

Directions stopped working with recent update. GOOGLE UPDATES DONT WORK. YOU GUYS SHOULD JUST STOP TRYING TO CHANGE THINGS. I DELETED MY GMAIL AND ALL MY GOOGLE APPS

Very accurate and love the layout of the map and directions.

My location does not update.

Using 3D Touch to navigate to Home/Work requires enabling Web History. Thats unnecessary and silly.

I love Google Maps and use it everyday to find new things and follow traffic patterns. Literally the best GPS Navigator there is!
