Google maps app seems a little amateur, in my opinion. I really wish that Apple and Google would get together to provide good data with a good user experience. I wish that Google would supply Apple maps app with information. But I strongly prefer the Apple maps app. Overall, Im disappointed that Google didnt provide a better product. They have experience with providing a mapping app for iOS… Remember, they were the native map app for iPhone. Although this release is an okay attempt, they really let me down.

Great features and easy to use

I use this app and google maps on desktop daily, I have been using it for many years prior to travel. Im currently travelling for 3 years and I use google maps to navigate each country Im in. I star places Ive been, am going to, or want to go. However thousands of stars have gone missing, on both the web browser version and mobile app. This is not just an issue with my account, there are huge threads that exist of people having this same problem up to 4 years ago (without it being fixed). Its extremely frustrating that Ive put so much time and effort keeping a meticulous map just to have all of the data disappear on me. This has happened to my boyfriends map as well (both web and mobile) which we kept updated as a backup to my map. Now thousands of points are forever lost. For a company that constantly promotes cross platform updates and that google maps is a program that should be used by travellers, that you can share points etc with your friends. Its unbelievable that something so simple as maintaining the data points already entered is so complex??? That should be the first thing that they focus on. Maintaining the information that the user has saved into the system. Im looking for a more reliable map to use.

This app used to be great. Now I get this use app question, when Im already using it. Ever since the update it hasnt worked.

It insisted on being rated in the middle of what I was doing .. ANNOYING! So it only gets 4 !

App has sooo many features, I use it almost daily. Rarely wrong, but sometimes its routing should be questioned, especially if you are driving an RV.

I love google maps. I have it on my IPhone 6s Plus but the one problem I have with this app. I have multiple jobs but your app only allows me to enter one work place. I would be sooooo happy if I could save my other work places ☺️☺️???

Have used Google Maps for as long as its existed and have always loved it. However now turn by turn directions dont work on my iPhone 7 -- have tried everything to fix it but the app still gets confused and tells me to turn on to a street 3 blocks after Ive passed it. How can an app go from being so great to so terrible?

Ive been traveling the US for weeks and would not be enjoying as much if not for this app. I dont have navigation and this has been critical for me. Highly recommend.

I really like this app. I find that for me its a lot better than Mapquest. Mapquest messed up for me alllllll the time, it was ridiculous. So I switched to Google Maps and I love it. I find that it only messes up if Im in a really large city and even then its very rare. Its only in a really congested area, does it mess up.

Hilariously can NEVER locate your current location. Half the time it thinks Im driving in a field or something. Works correctly less than 50% of the time and for some reason thinks I need to walk everywhere Im going, so it gives me walking directions. I recommend a paper map or staying home over this pile.

It keeps getting worse. Trying to do too much.

This app was so good, it got replaced by apple maps!
