Why no Satellite views?

I travel more often and love the freedom I get ... because Im horrible with directions and traditional maps. I trust it completely.

Love the app but can you add a feature that allows you to select detour for a particular step within the directions? Sometimes I know I want to avoid a particular area and would like to select detour ahead of time and have the route replanned rather than just winging it and then having the app renavigate. Also it would be nice to select the route by most direct or least turns or simplest (whatever you want to call it) but I cant find that option. Its also hard to add stops along your route. It would be nice to plan a few stops on my route like dinner or picking someone up etc.

Visited facility today, Lauren the Store Manager was professional, friendly and extremely efficient. We were all set up within minutes.

There is a bug that freezes the app when you go to the payment information once you requested an uber driver. When you get back to the "confirm pickup location" screen, the app freezes.

Such a variety of services and its all free. It is free. Enough said!

With the exception of Waze redirect option this blows all the other maps out the water

We crossed the border at Nogales and Waze promptly crapped out. Thanks for providing a viable option ??

Upon entering our destination, (DIA, CO) my friend noticed Google Maps chose an unusual route. About halfway through, after twisting and turning on streets skirting the highway, she found the route was ten minutes longer than the one she normally takes. Then it hit us, a brutal awakening: we were on the toll road. Google, you are ingeniously savage.

I have an iPhone after using android forever... and I had to download google maps because it is way better!

I agree with other recent reviews: Ive been using Google Maps for a long time, probably 8 years, and the recent version is terrible. What the heck has happened to google maps? Its worse than Apple Maps. I use the app 3-4 days a week for work and already its gotten me lost twice this week. Sadly, this has been happening for a couple months. Either its telling me to turn the wrong direction or it just suddenly stops working and Im forced to pull over and figure out where to go.

Definitely would use it a lot more often and recommend it if there were some more clarity as to which street/highway you are on and had more detail in its highway navigation

Can see reviews without leaving app, however transit wait times are not real time.

It doesnt seem to be able to automatically mark my parked car location after disconnecting from Bluetooth, like Apple Maps does. Supposedly Google Maps supports the feature but hasnt worked in my case. Otherwise, as always, best mapping and navigation app on iPhone.
