Great app l love it, but a big future is missing the speed limit icon is very important when you are driving on unknown streets or unfamiliar places. I wish you could pay attention to this future ,thank you guys. Mr:driver!!!! Im sorry guys but everyone is asking for speeds limits icons I hope you pay attention!!! Thank you google. Still dont get speed limit! Why smallest players have the speed limit on their apps and you dont ????

When using Apple maps for navigation, it is far smoother and a better experience than Google maps. However Google maps wins with accuracy of listings and overall content.

I love Google maps and have used it for years. Recently, I have found myself using Waze more and more due to the simple fact that it has a real time speedometer with speed alerts! That and the fact that you can schedule trips for a later date/time and receive reminder notifications for when you need to leave. Those two things, Especially the speedometer would make Google Maps the Best Hands Down!! I would even Pay for those things to be on the app because I prefer the stability and features of Google Maps compared to other navigation apps, but the lack of those features draws me to the ones that have them...Thank You

We travel across Canada with PopCanRadio.ca and use Google Maps to find music festivals in remote locations. Thank you Google Maps!

Just started using this app but so far it been great. It allows me to view reviews I posted in the past. Im still trying to navigate threw the app and utilize all the features but so far so good.

Took absolutely nowhere

This is my favorite maps app and probably the most used app on my phone as I depend on it for work. However, after the last update, it has become nonfunctional. The app no longer picks up my current location and every time I input my destination and choose my location as the starting point, it automatically chooses the starting point of my previous trip, regardless of whether I choose current location or input another location. Then once I hit start, it just gets stuck in REROUTING... and nothing happens. Please fix! Thank you. 5/17/17 Update: Google says its fixed. Havent needed it yet but seems to be working. Will update rating accordingly after use.

Update: Thank you! Working as usual now. I have updated my rating to reflect that. A week ago I would have given the app 5 stars without a second thought. But for three days now it has been stuck on re-routing. It keeps trying to put me where I am not or it cant determine where I am at all. I have tried disabling and re- enabling location services, turning the phone on and off, uninstalling and re-installing the app. Nothing has worked. I have sent feedback twice and nothing. Please fix the issue.

This is another success for Google! This is much better than the native iPhone maps. Real time traffic, connects to my previous destinations and web searches, recalculates directions if you get off course, voice alerts, visual directions, and multiple destinations. Good job Google!

5/17/17- Google fixed the issue! With the last update you now are forced to pick a starting point rather than the default of current location. Very annoying. Love the traffic help.

Used to be the only map app that I trusted but now the map seems to send me in the wrong direction every time. Then it rerouted me randomly and directions are still wrong. While driving - my direction doesnt update as Im driving. Its obviously a bad bug that needs to be fixed, but ever since updating my phone, it hasnt worked. Ive had to now start using WAZE to get places.

What did you people do? This update is horrible. Re-routing just causes the app to have a meltdown. And thats IF you can get directions to work. When you use "your location" the app picks a random location to start from, not your actual location where the blue dot is on the screen. Edit: update, the issue is fixed and it is working well again.

This app save my life many times!

I use Google and maps for everything travel related and because the maps are very good not just for cars are but for trucks as well just be smart about mapping yourself in and out of shippers.

Google maps zooms to any degree I prefer. I could see a few continents or the car in front of a house. The app rarely crashes. I can easily select routes, even if I want to consider strange hypothetical starting locations or intermediate locations (waypoints). Im not sure how much this app considers road congestion.

Update 5/17/17: I have to admit I do not like the new configuration for switching to satellite, traffic, etc. I like the previous set up it was much easier to switch them on and off basically only requiring one hand. I use Google maps a lot as a delivery driver and Im not reel happy with the directions the app is going. As much as I love this app switching everything around and calling it an update was pointless and did absolutely nothing good. Original review: I dont think I need to say much about Google maps because we all know its the best! My only complaints or two things. First the traffic sometimes doesnt work I try restarting the app turning the traffic off and back on again and nothing works. Sometimes this last for a few minutes sometimes an hour or two. My second complaint is when navigating on street/ satellite mode Ive been experiencing some issues. It used to be the little arrows you would click to move now a solid blue line that you slide your finger along to move. The problem is there are certain streets where he goes back and forth from the arrow to the blue line. Also the blue lines are not straight sometimes theres weird shapes that may look like a couple triangles in an intersection this makes it really difficult to move. Sometimes I spend a minute or two just trying to move the map. Also I dont like if your paining the camera around or trying to zoom into a location it always seems to move the map on you. I hope this system can be better in a graded in the future and works more seamlessly. ?Thanks Google?
